GP Earnings
The average pay for GPs working in Station Road Surgery in the last financial year was £92,804 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 1 full time GP and 5 part time GPs who worked in the practice for six months or more.
NHS England require that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the practice is publicised by 31 March 2023 at the latest. However, it should be noted that the prescribed method of calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the practice and should not be used for any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparisons with other practices.”
These figures have been calculated using BMA and LMC guidance. If you feel you need to go further with your figures you can of course detail hours spent in surgery but this is not required to be disclosed.
These figures may seem hard to reconcile to your profits in your accounts and this is because there are many adjustments that are required to calculate the figure above. If you have any questions please can you email these. It is important to note that our fee only covers the preparation and sending of the earnings disclosure and if there are extensive queries this may incur additional costs.
